My Gpa use to take me here as a kid all the time

Lots of trees on the north loop, plenty of shade in the upper campground area. Good fishing, too. 4 wheeler trails, hiking. Saw a bald eagle, herons, hawks, prong horn deer. Bring lots of drinking water. You can boil the water from the tap by the ranger station, but I would trust your own first. The lake is actually a reservoir, and is quite large. Bring rain gear, you never know when it will rain in the High Uintahs.
